About Kranjska Gora

Kranjska Gora

Kranjska Gora sits in the far north-west corner where Slovenia, Italy and Austria meet. In winter it hosts a men’s Alpine Ski World Cup round on the Podkoren slope, and the ski jumping at Planica 4 km away is the largest hill in the world. In summer it is the northern trailhead for the Vršič pass, 50 hairpins and the highest road in Slovenia at 1,611 m, and the junction of two long valley cycle paths, which makes it the most family-practical Alpine base for cycling.
