Roman Bridge Vučija
Vučija Bridge is located on the Sušica River, at the site where the Roman road once passed, connecting Dubrovnik with the area of present-day Montenegro. It is believed to have been built in the 13th century, during the period when the nearby Vrmske towers were also constructed, which places it among the valuable traces of the medieval architectural heritage of this region.
The bridge is located between two rocks, where it naturally connects two steep sections of the riverbed. It was built from dressed stone, while the upper arches were made of tufa. Its structure with semicircular arches leaves a harmonious and elegant impression, and the way it is set between the rocks and into the natural surroundings of the Sušica River gives it a special appearance and character.
