About This Landmark
Pasha’s Saray
The former Pasha's Palaces, built by Ahmet Kurt Pasha at the end of the third quarter of the 18th century, were a complex of luxurious apartments in the "Mangalem" neighborhood, built with stones brought from the ancient city of Apollonia. This complex served as the administrative and residential center of the Pasha's of Berat until 1945. Today, on its southern side, the ruins of a structure with columns and arcades made of monolithic stone are preserved, which testify to the architectural craftsmanship of the time.
