Bosanska Krupa
About This Landmark

Church of Saint Mary

At the very foot of the Old Town in Bosanska Krupa stands the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Catholic church built in the early 20th century and belonging to the Prijedor parish of the Banja Luka Diocese. After a thorough restoration in 2009, the church was reconstructed in the Gothic style based on old photographs, while preserving its original dimensions and location.

Its distinctive wooden bell tower with a tent roof and a bell ordered from Italy makes it a special feature in the city panorama. Today the church is protected as a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
