Caves and karst formations

Rukaj Cave and Dejës Cave are some of the most popular caves in Mat Municipality, formed from the limestone rock of the area. They have important geological and historical values, preserving rare mineral formations and evidence of early human use. Most of these caves still remain unexplored, giving visitors the opportunity to experience a natural and historical adventure at the same time.
