Naša Maša

On the slopes of Ozren Mountain, near Doboj, there is an unusual place that has become a recognizable tourist attraction in this area. “Naša Maša” is home to the bears Maša and Ljubica, whose life story has attracted the attention of visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as many animal lovers on social media. Maša and Ljubica were found as cubs without their mothers, at a time when they would not have been able to survive on their own in the wild. They were taken in by Petar Tubić, who provided them with a safe fenced area, food, and daily care on Ozren.

Maša arrived in her new home first, and a few years later Ljubica joined her. A visit to this place gives you the chance to meet the two best-known residents of Ozren up close, hear the story of their rescue, and spend time in a natural mountain setting. Ljubica is often described as more sociable and curious, while Maša sometimes needs a little more time to approach and get to know visitors.
