AVNOJ Museum
The AVNOJ Museum was founded in 1952 as a memorial museum and today is one of the most important historical sites in Bihać. It was in this building that the first AVNOJ session was held on November 26 and 27, 1942, when the foundations of Yugoslavia's future federal structure were laid.
The building where the museum is located, known as Kloster, was built in 1939 as a gift from a man from Bihać living in America to the nuns, and originally served for public and cultural events.
Today, the museum preserves a rich permanent exhibition that includes authentic exhibits, documents, photographs, and works of art related to the AVNOJ session and the period of the Second World War. Of particular value are the original three-dimensional objects and the art collection, which further highlight the historical significance of this place.
