About This Landmark

Museum of Optical Illusions

The Museum of Optical Illusions in Sarajevo is a unique interactive attraction located in the heart of the city, at Skenderija 28, in one of the oldest restored buildings in Sarajevo. Spread across three floors and more than 300 square meters, it features over a hundred carefully designed exhibits and installations for all generations. Visitors can look forward to unforgettable experiences such as the Infinite Disco, the Upside-Down Room, the Anti-gravity Room and the UV Room, as well as a special Sarajevo touch — Vučko, the beloved mascot of the 1984 Winter Olympics, who serves Bosnian coffee in this museum. Thanks to collaboration with young artists from the Academy of Fine Arts and the world-renowned Japanese psychology professor Akiyoshi Kitaoka, the museum offers a collection of illusions rarely seen in the region. It is an ideal destination for families, schools and anyone who wants to escape reality for an hour.
