About Koper

Koper

Koper is a real city doing real work, the container port is the country’s sea gateway, and most visitors drive past it. That is a small mistake: Tito Square, with the Praetorian Palace and the Loggia, is the finest Venetian Gothic ensemble in Slovenia, and it is busy with residents rather than tourists. Koper is also the coast’s transport hub, with the rail line from Ljubljana and cruise berths.
